School Holidays Napier

Dani and I went on a four day trip down to Napier to meet our old friends and neighbors in Wellington.  It was a 5 1/2 hour drive from Auckland in the Hawkes Bay region.  It has one of the best climates in New Zealand they grow a lot of fruits, vegetables and many vineyards

Elizabeth was Dani's best friend in Wellington and they are always so happy to see each other again.  They pick up right where they left off.  

We rented a hotel room in the Kennedy Park Resort and stayed two nights.  They had a playground and heated pool so the kids had fun.

Had a few good meals

We went to the Napier Aquarium which is the national aquarium for New Zealand

Sad to say goodbye!  

On the way home we stopped at Big Bird Inn a  Bed and Breakfast with a working farm.  It is in Waitomo which is famous for the caves and glow worms.  Was too cold and rainy to go but we will go back.  A 2 1/2 drive for us from Auckland so not too far.

Dani made friends with a nice girl Rosy who lives near us in Auckland so we will meet her again. Only a month apart in age.

The little horse ran fast.
