We went to the Auckland Zoo for the time since moving to Auckland in December. Was a nice Zoo though pretty crowded on the day we went.

This Orangutan exhibit had just been opened for a few days. It took them two years to build it. It is all up in the over head and allows the animals to climb right over you without any fence. It looks like overhead wires you can see below. A very natural environment for them as they spend most of their time in trees in the wild. Pretty amazing
Here is a video of the Zoo bringing the apes back to the new facility. Really interesting.
