The Hobbit- There and Back Again

Dani's first show with Devonport Drama in the "Hobbit There and Back Again a Dwarf Wives Tale"  Dani played the part of Figwit the comedic singing elf. 

There were about 28 kids in the show. I think Dani was the youngest.  The kids worked really hard and were lucky to be able to have the show as we have been moving in out of lockdowns with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Just this last week they had rehearsal on Saturday 2:00- 6:00pm, Wednesday 4:00- 8:00pm, Thursday dress rehearsal 4:00-8:00pm, Friday Show 1 5:00- 9:00pm, Saturday Show 2 & 3 and he was at the theater from 10:00am- 7:00pm...long week!

There were three 75 min shows and Grace and I went to all three.  Grace also worked backstage helping three kids with hair and make-up.

Fun Fact- Lorde who is a famous New Zealand singer is from Devonport and got her start in the Devonport Drama club.
