We are now into day 4 of what will be a minimum one month lock down taking place across the whole country for the Coronavirus.
We are required to stay at home except for local walking and biking and you are required to keep a social distance from everyone. Everything is closed except for supermarkets, pharmacies and hospitals.

This is Monday, March 17. I dropped Dani off for school in the morning the last day of normal for awhile and then by the afternoon a decision had been made by the Prime Minister to lock down the entire country within 48 hours.
On Tuesday I tool Dani into my office so I could pick up some things as I would be working from home for the next month.
The board where we have our standing meeting every morning at 9:00 am. We have continued the meetings though now it is on Zoom.
On the first day of the lock down we walked to the beach
There is a world wide initiative where people are putting teddy bears in their windows for kids to find. Dani counted 40 teddy's on the walk to the beach.
Playgrounds are all closed
Dani had her Kea's online meeting on Monday. This was pretty good as it was the first day that schools closed. Only 3 kids called in out of 15 but was a nice chat.
The Ipad we bought Dani for her 7th birthday turned out to be a very good gift
Dani did her Violin lesson online
Her online piano lesson
Dani's teacher Ms. Shin sent a nice message to the kids.

On Sunday we took a long bike ride to Takupuna beach about 5 miles away.
There were a lot of people on the beach but people were keeping the social distance
Looking out on the quiet city enjoying the sunset from our porch
