Rotorua Geothermal Park

Rotorua New Zealand is famous for the thermal activity.   We camped in Rotorua and went to this Thermal Park.

In the morning we so a geyser demonstration.  The rangers in the park make it erupt each day at 10:00am by pouring a detergent like powder into the geyser

We went to the park and did a walking tour of the different pools

Dani was not happy since is smelled like rotten eggs.  She hung in there and did the walking tour.

With a little carrying

In Rotorua we also went to Rainbow Springs which is a Kiwi Conservation and breeding park and saw a baby Kiwi which had just hatched a few hours before.

The park also had some other wild life and exhibits and we spent a few hours.

Large trout which can swim out to the river

We went down the Rainbow Rapids Flume

Dani says "its going very slow" right before the drop
