We went on a camping vacation from December 26 to January 3. We first drove up to Hastings about a 6 hour drive north of Wellington and then went to Rotorua.
We stayed in Top 10 Holiday Parks which are a chain of camp grounds across New Zealand. The call them Holiday Parks. The have cabins, camper and tent sites. They also have community kitchens and a pool and playground. Dani made a lot of friends and she loved being able to run around freely and play.
These three friends played together for all three days. Main game was cops and robbers.

The pool was heated which was nice
Next door to the campground was Splash Planet a big waterpark.
